Sterling Heights to discuss settlements related to blocked mosque build
Auto Appraiser Jason Phillips took this solid, driver quality modified 1956 Bel Air for a freeway run. It accelerates well, with it's single feed Edelbrock. The 200 R trans looks like new, and operates fairly well, with a little indecision on the downshifts, but nothing too horrific! Sterling Heights accepts settlement to approve building of mosque
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - The 41A District Court and Sterling Heights Stevenson High School were evacuated Wednesday after a man brought an unknown military-grade round to the nearby police station. Police gave the all clear, but the court canceled the docket. Sterling Heights police said the man found the round and didn't know what to do with it so he took it to the police station. Police quickly evacuated the court and high school along Dodge Park Road just south of Utica Road. The ammunition is outside in a red van in a parking lot near the court and police station. Police have parts of the area taped off. Stevenson High School had a half day of classes Wednesday, so there were no students in the building at the time of the evacuation order, a spokesman for Utica Community School...

His opposition comes in the midst of recent anti-Muslim comments by residents, which have been made in two city government meetings and coincide with an anti-mosque protest of more than 200 people opposed to the proposed mosque. A planning commission hearing for the proposed mosque is set fo...
